Join us on Saturday, August 24th at 3 pm at the Lyme Art Association for an art talk and book signing with Illeana Douglas, actress, film historian and the author of Connecticut in the Movies, a book about the portrayal of Connecticut in film and the 200 movies filmed right here in the Nutmeg State. Learn how Connecticut is viewed through the camera lens and how these movie portrayals shape one’s perception of the state, plus discover real life locales that were used in the movies. Illeana is also signing copies of her book, Connecticut in the Movies, which will be available for purchase at the event. Tickets are $20 per person.

About the Lyme Art Association: Founded in 1914 by the American Impressionists, the Lyme Art Association continues the tradition of exhibiting and selling representational artwork, as well as offering art instruction and lectures to the community. Lyme Art Association is located at 90 Lyme Street in Old Lyme, CT within the national historic district. Admission is free with donations appreciated.
