The human form has been a prominent subject in the creative expression of nearly all cultures in the world throughout time. It is used as an expression of oneself through mediums like paintings, photographs, dance and social media. Some even transform their bodies and become art themselves.
The human body serves as a language to convey something that otherwise cannot be expressed in words. Many use the human body to challenge cultural ideas and assumptions about beauty and social image. It represents one’s very own freedom.
RAA invites artists of all mediums to explore the human body and bring it to light through art.
