The City of Dexter, Missouri invites artists to submit qualifications for a temporary public sculpture installation as part of our new Dexter Sculpture Spotlight program. One artist will be selected to display a completed, existing outdoor sculpture on a high-visibility concrete pad at the Dexter Welcome Center for a period of 12 months. This is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) — no proposals are required at this stage. The selected artist will receive a $1,500 honorarium to support transportation, installation, and participation. The artwork will remain the property of the artist and may be listed for sale.
Open to professional artists aged 18 and older, with experience in durable, outdoor public work. Deadline to apply is August 15, 2025, at 11:59 AM CDT. Installation will occur in September – October 2025
