We are looking for artists (in the Virginia, Washington, DC and Baltimore areas) who can offer an interactive experience or workshop with our students in addition to an Art Exhibition and Gallery Talk about their work, for the 2017/18 academic year. Artists creating original works of art in any medium are encouraged to apply. Video and new media artists must provide their own projection equipment.
We will provide accepted artists with a reasonable stipend to assist with travel or shipping expenses depending on need and circumstance. In addition, the Department of Fine Art and Art History may offer an honorarium to select artists to help cover expenses associated with a Visiting Artist Workshop on campus. Works presented may be offered for sale and should include a 25% gallery commission.
Your exhibition proposal must include:
• Vitae
• Artist Statement
• Description of proposed exhibition
• A maximum of 20 images labeled with your name, title of work, size, date and medium
