ASK FOR FILM aims to grow our local film culture by showcasing our often overlooked independent Kingston and Hudson Valley Filmmakers by forging a new public connection through bi-monthly screenings.
RUNTIME: (2 HOURS)
7:00PM – Introduction by HOST
7:15PM – Play films
8:30PM – Films end/Q&A with filmmakers and MODERATOR
8:45PM – Q&A ends/Sign Off by HOST
(free time)
9:00PM – Event end
REQUIREMENTS:
CALLING ALL ASK FILMMAKERS:
We are proud to announce the begining of a new ASK FOR series, “ASK FOR FILM” launching this year. Each screening will roughly consist of an hour and fifteen minutes of films encompassing around a single theme accompanied by a short Q&A session with the filmmaker(s). Themes will be determined based on the content we receive so send us you best work(s)! The screenings will begin bi-monthly staring late spring/early summer and are open to all local HUDSON VALLEY FILMMAKERS so spread the word to your filmmaker friends who may not be members as well.
If selected the following are required for marketing purposes:
1) A 1 or 2 sentence logline of your film.
2) A 1 paragraph abstract of your film.
3) 1-3 still screen shots of your film.
4) A full credit list.
5) (optional, but highly recommended) a movie trailer of your film.
Also the following is required for the screening:
1) A full-resolution playable version of your film – quicktime file or DVD.
