Every culture, every religion includes a belief in “winged spirits,” Guardian figures strong, fierce, sometimes wrestling with humans, sometimes messengers delivering fateful news, often protectors, sometimes presented as those winsome cherubs. Many collect angel figures and artists of old as well as pop-artists have given us multitudes of images from saccharine to heroic.
We now invite contemporary artists to share your angelic images…how do you view angels? All media welcome. No size requirements. Visit www.nailsinthewall.org for prospectus.
