New Art Call: “Dreams 2018,” an exhibiting and art grant opportunity at Gallery 25N

One artist will receive the “Christopher E. Burke Fine Art Grant” of $500.00. This artist’s creation will become the exhibition image and will be used on the invitation, video title screen, and all online marketing pertaining to the exhibit. In addition, the grant recipient will have a dedicated marketing campaign about their art and accomplishments sent to over 26,000 recipients worldwide. The artist will also be featured in the Art Market Newsletter.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older working in any still medium, including drawing, photography, painting, sculpture, digital art, and collage.

The curators are looking for artwork inspired by the artist’s visions of dreams—those windows into what might be called our subconscious reality. Reflections upon one’s dreams can have a short-term fleeting effect or a longer-term, even haunting, significance that influences one’s future choices and directions. The artist offers safe refuge to the viewer, a connection to these dreams at their invitation as we appreciate the myriad avenues we discover through their creations. The artist might present a dream as a hazy, filtered reality from specific memories or from an explosion of abstract and surrealistic imagery—all of which may be emotionally captured as their own. Your submissions should offer such imagery, as iconic message or deeply private self-portrait.
