A National Historic Landmark since 1971, the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum is regarded as one of the earliest and most significant Second Empire Style country houses in the United States. The Mansion’s Billiards Room is currently used to showcase contemporary art exhibitions.

“Fragments of Light, Impressions of Color”
April 7 – August 28, 2022
“Fragments of Light, Impressions of Color” will feature emerging and established artists working in the style of contemporary impressionism and focusing on the effects of light and color, whether through portraiture, painting nature, or depicting the urban landscape. The exhibition was juried by Artist and Trustee Gail Ingis, who selected approximately 33 works from digital submissions.
Featured artists include: Elizabeth Hasegawa Agresta; Huey-Min Chuang; Joseph Dermody; Katharine Draper; Yuko Ike; Richard Koleszar; Anni Lorenzini; Jean Marcellino; Kathie Milligan; Peter Millward; Judith Patterson-Lanyi; Jason Pritchard; Alex Ranniello; Malina Schneider; Clarice Shirvell; and Dmitri Wright.
