Artist Biography

Lisa D’Amico’s art primarily focuses on translating human emotions. She strives to reproduce the varied facets of feelings through her deep fascination with color, shape and composition and the struggles that occur between them.
Her creative process usually begins with a series of sketches, which serves as her inspirational catalyst to canvas, paper or printing block. Her techniques for the actual artwork usually involves building up areas of color through the application of many layers of paint, latex, compounds and ink to achieve vibrant color effects and multitudes of texture.
Lisa D’Amico is also an accomplished art instructor and curator.
