The Newburyport Art Association invites all sculptors, NAA members and non-members, to submit entries for the 2nd Annual Exhibition in The Range Light Community Sculpture Garden. This will be a year-long, outdoor sculpture exhibition. The intimate landscaped garden is situated behind the historic Newburyport Art Association in bustling downtown Newburyport, right along the waterfront. The garden area measures 2,880 square feet and will accommodate 8-10 sculptures.

• Sculptures should be resistant to New England weather. Works must not be a public safety hazard. The NAA Curatorial Committee will jury the works for the exhibition as well as supervise the installation of the sculpture.

• The NAA will provide accepted artists with a $150 stipend per sculpture (payable upon delivery) to help offset installation expenses. The NAA insurance coverage extends to the Range Light Community Sculpture Garden installations and includes replacement value and liability from injury caused by a sculpture.

• All work must be available for purchase. The Newburyport Art Association will receive a 35% commission on each sale. The selected works will be installed for 12 months; sold works may be removed at the conclusion of the exhibition. Interested buyers will need to secure their purchase with a $500 non-refundable deposit; the NAA and artist will receive their commission percentage of the deposit and the balance when the sale concludes at the end of the exhibition.

• When works have been selected for the annual exhibition, the NAA will coordinate the specific installation schedule with the artists. Artists are responsible for set up and, if necessary, suitable bases. All accepted works must be delivered to the NAA by the artist or by his or her representative.
