“SCIENCE INSPIRES ART: FOOD“ seeks artworks that reflect on the topic of FOOD from all angles: from the historical record to the elite haute-cuisine of today’s “molecular gastronomy,” from GMO seeds to organic aquaponics (and everything in-between); as a physical material for making or inspiring art, or a performance medium for creating community. CO-JURORS: Clive Adams, an esteemed curator and Founder/Director of the Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World (CCANW) at Schumacher College in Devon, UK; and Dr. Marti Crouch, a consulting science expert focusing on the relationships between biotechnology, agriculture, and the environment for nonprofit public interest groups.
