OPEN THEME | Portfolio ShowCase Volume 9
Submitted portfolios are evaluated as a cohesive body of work, rather than individual images. Fifteen photographers will be chosen to have their twelve-image portfolios published in the Center’s Annual Portfolio ShowCase book. There will be an accompanying online exhibition with links to the artist’s websites. Select images will be exhibited at The Center for Fine Art Photography for the Portfolio ShowCase Exhibition.

JUROR | Maggie Blanchard
Maggie Blanchard is the director of Twin Palms, a publisher of exceptional photography and art books. Previously she was co-director of Center, a nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for gifted photographers. As a consultant, Maggie has helped photographers make the transition from film to digital, set up digital studios, and master digital workflow. In addition to her thorough knowledge of the technical aspects of photography and Adobe Photoshop, Maggie is captivated by the art form.

ABOUT C4FAP | Founded in 2004 by photographers, The Center for Fine Art Photography is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) photography organization. We provide support to photographic artists through exhibition, solo exhibition, promotion, education and connection to a large community of other artists, curators, gallery owners and photographic professionals. HONORS | AWARDS
Featured artist’s work will be published and exhibited before an international audience of collectors, curators, art consultants, and other advocates of fine art photography. Participants will be included in the Center’s Online exhibition, Gallery exhibition and have their accepted portfolio published in the Portfolio ShowCase Volume 9 annual Book. Each artist receives three copies of the book.

ONE SOLO EXHIBITION AWARD One artist will be chosen for a solo exhibition at the Center for Fine Art Photography. This award comes with a $500 exhibition stipend.
PORTFOLIO SHOWCASE GROUP SHOW The Center will exhibit prints from the selected artists in conjunction with the book launch to promote the artists.
JUROR’S SELECTION The juror will select one portfolio to be the first presented in the book and will select an image from the portfolio to be the book cover.

In addition artists’ selected for the exhibition will also receive:
Promotion on The Center’s large social media platforms.
Professional installation images for your use.
Invitation to complimentary portfolio reviews with the Juror and the Executive Director, lunch and portfolio sharing on the reception weekend.

SUBMISSION | ENTRY FEE

MEMBERS: $55 for the first portfolio (12 images)
NON-MEMBERS: $70 for the first portfolio (12 images)

Additional portfolios may be submitted for $65. There is no limit to the number of portfolios that may be submitted. Applicants signing up for membership at the time they submit will receive the automatic discounted entry fee.

Image Upload Guidelines
All images are submitted online on our website. To submit images visit our home page, create a free account or Login to your existing account to begin. Further instructions are available in the Calls for Entry Section of our website.

Eligibility: Our calls for entry are open to all photographers world wide, both amateur and professional. The Center invites photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought to participate.
Exhibit Prints: In order to be included in the online gallery or to receive an award, you must provide a professionally printed and presented image for gallery exhibition. The Center recognizes that some work is non-traditional and the presentation type is integral to the work. Colorful frames must be pre-approved. To encourage participation by photographers from around the world, the Center offers optional, professional, printing and framing services. Additional details will be provided upon request.
Acceptance Notice: Everyone who submits will receive an email notification of which images were accepted. Accepted images will be posted on the Center’s website.

USE RIGHTS: Each artist retains all copyrights to their own images. Artist’s recognition is provided with any use. By submission for jurying, artists whose submissions are chosen for the exhibition grant The Center for Fine Art Photography the right to use their images for the purpose of promoting exhibitions, promoting the Center’s programs, promoting the artist and subsequent display on the Center’s website of current and past exhibitions. Promotions and images may also be placed on social networks for The Center for Fine Art Photography with artist credit. Artists grant the use of their image(s) as stated without further contact or compensation from the Center.
