The Woodstock Artists Association & Museum invites contemporary artists, jewelers and textile designers to submit works for Wearable Art , and exploration of the bold intersection of fashion, function, and fine art. This presentation celebrates the body as a living canvas. Whether your work is traditional or avant-garde, sculptural or whimsical, we are seeking original works of exceptional craftsmanship. As the exhibition will run concurrently with Gratitude: Annual Members Exhibition and Sale, works will be available for immediate purchase. Artists will have the opportunity to replace sold pieces throughout the run of the exhibition.
Artists may submit up to 3 works of wearable art. All submissions must be original pieces designed to be worn on the human body. Works may span disciplines including textile, fiber, sculpture, metalwork, and mixed media.
Artists requiring specialized display materials, such as mannequins or custom display cases, must provide these items for the exhibition. Otherwise, WAAM will use available in-house display supplies, including pedestals, tables, and hooks, to showcase the work.
Exhibition information:
● Call for artwork: September 28 – October 30, 2026
● Notification by e-mail: November 12, 2026
● Exhibition Dates: December 4, 2026 – January 3, 2027; Opening reception: Saturday, December 5, 2026
● Intake: Monday, November 30, 10am – 4 pm
● Pickup: Monday, January 4, 10 am – 4 pm
Application Materials:
● Open to all artists living within a 50-mile radius of Woodstock
● All media will be considered. Submissions can range from, (but aren’t limited to), textile, fiber, sculpture, metalwork, and mixed media. There are no size restrictions.
● Artists will submit up to 3 images either jpg/png/mp3/mov file.
● Brief Artist Statement (optional) and Bio
● Artists must be able to transport or ship work to WAAM. Shipped work must contain a prepaid return label.
● All artwork must be clean and ready to display
● Any special display needs must be supplied by the artist for the duration of the show and should be noted in their submission.
● All work must be the original conception and execution of the artist listed. No reproductions.
● Artists receive 60% of sales during the run of the exhibition. WAAM retains 40% of sales. All work must be for sale.
● WAAM reserves the right to reject works that do not comply with these guidelines or are otherwise found to be unsuitable for display.
● No changes to artwork details can be made to the submission. This is how your wall label will read. Please confirm all details before final submission.
