Artist Biography
Through my artwork, I explore deeply personal intersections of identity, disability, and resilience. My pieces, ranging from fiber art to digital art creations, reflect my journey with Spina Bifida and the medical challenges it has brought, including themes of loss and trauma. Each artwork embodies a narrative about my “normal,” inviting viewers to consider the complexities of embracing their own normal.
I use techniques such as katazome, screen printing, photography, and digital layering to express these intricate themes and maintain an ongoing dialogue with my physical reality. I hope my work resonates with others, navigating their normal and finding beauty within imperfection.
