April 15, 2021 / Helen Kachur
Michael Rose, Gallery Manager at the historic Providence Art Club in Rhode Island, is pleased to offer an upcoming series of workshops to aid artists in professional development. The workshops, which will take place live via Zoom, welcome artists of all backgrounds to explore various aspects of their art practices.
Coming up on Tuesday, May 18 at 6pm EST, Michael will offer a class on Pitching Art to Galleries, which will help artists to shape their proposal for gaining professional representation for their work.
On Tuesday, June 8 at 6pm EST, he will teach a course on Pricing and Selling Art, which will provide artists with methodologies they can use to develop their own pricing and selling strategies.
And finally, on Tuesday, June 22 at 6pm EST, he will offer a class on the Basics of Juried Exhibitions, which will give artists details of how competitive juried calls come together from artist, organizational, and juror perspectives.
Each of the three upcoming classes will run at an hour and a half long and will be geared towards a broad audience. Accessibly priced, each program costs $15 (plus Eventbrite fee). Students will be encouraged to ask questions and will receive a recording of the program after the class.
On the series, Michael said, “I am excited to be offering these workshops and look forward to sharing professional development insights with artists aiming to improve their practices.”
Michael Rose teaches regularly, and has previously offered similar programs at the Rhode Island School of Design’s Continuing Education Department, the Providence Art Club, and the Plymouth Center for The Arts, among others.
