Art as a Bridge in Global Intercultural Exchange – International Voices and Perspectives.
Modern art from Zimbabwe:
- African Tale, curated by Artgal.Online and the Swiss-Zim Heritage Gallery, explores themes such as ubuntu, township life and animal welfare in Zimbabwe. Works by artists such as Keith Zenda, Barry Lungu and Tonderai Mujuru are on display. These are complemented by powerful Shona sculptures that convey spiritual depth and cultural identity.
- Theiler Gallery juxtaposes Shona art from Zimbabwe with contemporary positions, including sculptures by Colleen Madamombe, Henry Munyaradzi and Tafadzewa Gwetai. These works reflect the spiritual depth and craftsmanship of the Shona art tradition.
Building bridges to India:
- The Swiss-Zim Heritage Gallery’s Bridging Continents project brings together Indian and African art traditions. Artists such as Balkrishna Kamble and Nitin Khilare explore the cultural links through common themes and forms of expression.
Malaysian Perspectives:
- At G13 Gallery, Najib Ahmad Bamadhaj combines socially critical painting with political depth. His works combine traditional techniques with strong visual expressions to reflect the complex social and political realities of Malaysia.
Art from South Korea:

Japan: Tradition, Modernity and the Present:
- Smart Ship Gallery (Tokyo) will once again occupy a large space at the fair with a wide range of contemporary Japanese art, including cityscapes, traditional ink paintings, glass art and mixed media. The works strike a balance between classical techniques and contemporary expression, promoting cultural exchange with global aspirations.
