ViewPoint Gallery of Halifax, 2020 International Photography Competition. Entry Deadline Sept.1, 2020.

Announcing ViewPoint Gallery’s international juried call for submissions. This is an opportunity to exhibit your work for one month at ViewPoint Gallery, the only gallery in Halifax devoted to photography. The competition is open to all subject matter from photographers located anywhere worldwide. 12 winning images will be selected from the digital entries. One winner will be exhibited monthly.

Winning images will be professionally printed, framed, exhibited and offered for sale by ViewPoint Gallery starting in October, 2020. Entry fee. Multiple entries allowed. Details: http://www.viewpointgallery.ca/international-competition

ViewPoint Gallery is an artist-run co-operative dedicated to inspiring, engaging, educating and promoting the art of photography. It is the only photography gallery of its kind in Halifax.

ViewPoint Gallery presents a dynamic approach to the display of photography with a mixture of solo and group exhibitions. The Gallery continually displays works by all its members, and showcases individual member’s through solo exhibitions, accompanied by artist talks, presentations and other events. In addition to the solo shows there is one guest exhibition and several group exhibitions shown each year.

Since its founding in 2000, ViewPoint Gallery has hosted over 230 exhibitions, bringing the finest of Nova Scotia’s photography to tens of thousands of visitors. The gallery also hosts Open Print Reviews and Guest Speakers, and a partnership with PhotoWorkshops.ca to provide educational classes.



Glad that shows like this will be online. Won't be in Canada, but can definitely take a look at the photography in Halifax.

Kudos, to ViewPoint Gallery and appreciate an artist run co-operative. Especially now, it's the best way to promote art work that is still selling and popular. Good luck with the Call!

I'm not from Halifax, but appreciate the opportunity to submit for this competition. More than that, I look forward to seeing some of the dramatic Canadian landscape.
