Imago Foundation for the Arts’ gallery, IMAGO, features innovative contemporary artwork by IFA artists and invited guests in downtown Warren, RI, close to coffee houses, restaurants, shops and other art venues.
IMAGO hosts six to eight group art exhibits a year, including national juried and open community exhibits that draw a wide audience from throughout Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. Other programs include panel discussions on art topics, talks and workshops conducted by exhibiting artists and an “art” book club, all of which are open to the public. More recently, IFA has begun working with the Town of Warren on the development of public art installations and spaces to make Warren a more attractive and pleasing place for both residents and visitors.
IFA was founded in 2007 with a mission of supporting community involvement in a wide range of cultural activities related to the arts by providing space for artists and those interested in the arts to gather, explore and celebrate creativity.
IFA artists work in a wide variety of media ranging from painting, print making, drawing, sculpture and photography to ceramics and mixed media. In addition to participating in group exhibits throughout the year, IFA artists are featured in the gallery every 18 to 24 months.
Hours: Thursdays 4 – 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 12 noon to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
