Founded in 2018 by Igor Zeiger, Maria Rosenblatt and Erika Tal-Shir, Beam Collective always has a number of projects at various stages of development. Our work ranges from photography, mixed media, music to full interdisciplinarity.
Ideas are always welcome. Sometimes ideas go further or just stay as the idea. It is difficult but it’s part of the collaboration, as well as disagreement is part of this. We have to create a flow to enable our ideas and minds to co-exist. Sometimes an idea doesn’t fit now, but sometimes it’s the best thing you may have. We have to be patient and give every idea a chance and in doing so we are collaborative.
Our collective is about a sense of ownership, which we share. Each of us produces different art and has a different temperament, but together we complete the art. Collaboration is the way for us to shape our identity as artists. Doing art is the endless process of our ongoing dialogues.
