The Seeds of Divinity is a very special Pre-Columbian exhibition that explores civilizations in Central America that once used the human body as a symbol for depicting the nature that surrounded them and the supernatural. Artworks from the era show a variety of unnatural human experiences such as a head evolving from the jaws of a monster, the conversion of bodies into celestial beings, and passage into the after world. All of which was the cultures attempt to define the indefinable. Objects from the Mesoamerican civilizations; Maya, Teotihuacán, Nayarit, Zapotec, and Aztec, delve deeper into the spiritual and the sacred and explore the broken bond between humans, gods, and animals.
