Across mixed media works (acrylic paint, wax fabric, beading, embroidery) on un-stretched canvas, artist Béatrice Lebreton returns to moments of threshold, quiet spaces where something is shifting, softening, or coming into being.
These are not loud or dramatic changes, but intimate ones, slow, inward, and often unseen.

We Rise: in the water we are reborn” moves through water as a place of memory and release.
We Rest: in the stillness we dream” centers rest as something sacred. These figures turn inward, held in silence and dream, where stillness becomes a space of presence rather than absence.
We Become: in their hands tomorrow takes root” looks toward children as carriers of what is forming. They hold both tenderness and clarity, already shaped by what they inherit and what they imagine. Through them, the future feels close, already growing, already here.

Shifting the Gaze is an invitation to look more slowly, more gently—to move beyond surface and sit with what is unfolding. It asks what becomes possible when we begin to see differently.
