New York, NY – FREMIN Gallery is pleased to announce Miniatures and Monuments, a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Rob Strati, opening in early September 2025. Marking a significant evolution in Strati’s acclaimed Fragmented series, the exhibition explores the intersection of personal memory and national identity through broken porcelain, intricate ink drawings, and conceptual pricing strategies that turn each acquisition into a historical statement.

Miniatures and Monuments presents a dynamic body of approximately 30–35 works, blending historical gravitas with intimate detail. At the heart of the show are four key pieces from the sold-out Service series—featuring monumental American symbols such as George Washington, Mount Rushmore, the U.S. Capitol, and the Washington Monument—each priced to reflect the year of the event it references. One such piece, The Precedent, sold for $17,970 in alignment with the year 1797, when Washington peacefully transferred power after two terms—an act foundational to American democracy.

“This is a continuation of my Service series, which questions how we assign value,” says Strati. “Not just monetary value, but cultural, political, and personal value. In this series, the collector becomes part of the creative act—buying not based on scale or scarcity, but on meaning.”
