The public to the free opening reception for “Materialize,” a group exhibition featuring the work of 14 ASU Master of Fine Arts students on First Friday, February 3. Meet the artists, enjoy music by Diego Miranda and no-host bar in Bob’s Spot Gallery Lounge.

Centered on realized works that span a broad range of materials and conceptual practices, these artists highlight the collective imaginative spaces they share, marked by their engagement with contemporary art forms.
The School of Art in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts is one of the largest and most respected public art schools in the country, and a leader in the development of artists and arts educators. The Master of Fine Arts degree is offered for advanced study in ceramics, drawing/painting, fibers, interdisciplinary digital technology, intermedia, metals, photography, printmaking, sculpture and wood.
“Materialize” will be on display and available for purchase through April 2. A portion of each purchase benefits the HTC’s Youth Outreach Programs. Sponsored by Billie Jo and Judd Herberger, the Herberger Theater Gallery is a self-funded exhibition program that promotes contemporary art by Arizona artists.
