Able Fine Art NY is pleased to present the multi-faceted works of ChoongMi Jung. Jung creates sculptures that are beautifully crafted and symbolic of nature and its everlasting energy. She creates works in clay that are beautifully crafted with attention to detail and an overall sense of simplicity that speaks to nature itself. Jung states how “the clay in the potter’s wheel is highly flexible in that it can emerge as variations of the basic form simply through coincidence. To put in minimal energy into the wheel is to create an eruption of beautiful results that are not always expected. In her sculptures, the artist seeks to obtain synergy as a function of energy within art and nature. To Jung, the creation of clay sculptures is almost homage to the ground itself, as she describes the meaning of soil as the foundation of our existence. There is a sense of effortlessness shown in her pieces that is guided by his traditional approach to art.
