This immersive installation draws from Browne’s Celtic lineage, the natural world, decorative arts, and sacred rituals to explore tensions between wild and domestic spaces, between acts of consumption and celebration. Garnish unabashedly uplifts and meticulously embellishes the vulvar form, which is an archetypal symbol of creativity and the divine. The role of decoration as mere vanity is subverted; here, it becomes a portal to deeper meaning. Ultimately, she says, “this ritualistic feast is a celebration of beauty, the sculptures are appropriately adorned to honor their divinity and I encourage guests to do the same!”
