The Will’s Creek Exhibition is a national juried exhibition of contemporary American art hosted by the Allegany Arts Council in the beautiful Saville and Schwab galleries in Cumberland, Maryland. Now in its 19th year, the Will’s Creek Exhibition will take place November 3-December 1, 2018. Each year, the exhibition focuses on a central theme. In 2018, the selected theme is “Overlooked”.

Theme: Overlooked
Many things in our world are slighted, ignored, rejected, discarded. This exhibition calls attention to that which is overlooked. Whether they are objects, beings or emotions, through the artist’s interpretation, Overlooked is given new meaning. They can thus be noted, appreciated or cherished – as if time paused, and we take a deep breath and marvel at the true nature of what is before us. Entries may include traditional media, as well as installation, video, kinetic, sound and/or performance art.

Juror:
Liza Key Strelka is Manager of Exhibitions at The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC.

Prizes: $3,600

Entry Deadline: 9/23/18
