Saturday, August 20, 8 am – 9 pm Sunday, August 21, 12-4 pm Celebrate art with the community this August 20 and 21 at “Wet Paint,” the Newport Art Museum’s annual public art and auction event, sponsored by WILLIAM VAREIKA FINE ARTS, LTD. Join in on the fun as an artist, bidder or both! Artworks created by hundreds of artists on Saturday will be on view for silent bidding during the Preview Reception on Saturday evening from 6-8 pm. The reception is FREE for participating artists and one guest, $10 for Museum members and $15 for non-members. A live auction begins Sunday at 4 pm outside on the Griswold House grounds, open to all at no charge. The Museum is open to the public and admission is FREE throughout the entire weekend.
