It’s time for the Wesleyan Potters’ Annual Exhibit and Sale! Enjoy a wide variety of new crafts this year with 30 new vendors joining over 250 of our favorite craftspeople from all over the country presenting their unique handcrafted items, Friday November 29 through Sunday December 15 and Wednesday December 18 through Christmas Eve, the 24th.
Friday nights are Café Nights, featuring the music of 6:00-8:00. The Sawtelles and Sirius Coyote on December 6, and Zoo Front on December 13. While listening to music, guests may shop through the evening, mingle with artists, and enjoy complimentary food, and drink, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. each Friday, with an additional hour to shop until 9pm.
Part of Holiday Sale purchases will support Gilead Community Services which serves individuals and families in Middlesex County with mental health needs. Look for work on the special designated shelves.
Craft lovers will find a variety of gifts for under $20, such as Holiday cards, ornaments, candles, and condiment dishes. Higher-ticket items such as furniture, metalwork, ceramic lamps, or handwoven and felted items including scarves, blankets and other apparel, will perfectly suit the person who appreciates distinctive one-of-a-kind items.
Many favorite artists and craftspeople are returning to as well as work by artists new to the sale. Among the items from new vendors are handcrafted musical instruments, kaleidoscopes, brightly colored terracotta pottery, re-purposed vintage tin jewelry and forged hooks.
The sale runs from Friday November 29th through Sunday December 15th and Wednesday the 18th through Christmas Eve, the 24th, at 350 South Main Street (Route 17), Middletown, CT. Open daily from 10:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. and Friday evenings till 9:00. Free parking in the Wesleyan Potters parking lot can be accessed behind 350 S. Main St. around the block, opposite 28 Birdsey Avenue.
