The goal is to instruct students on the fundamentals of material application and medium techniques while keeping in mind design principles and color theory. Once this goal is met students are encouraged to use their new learned kknowledge to express themselves and create personally unique works of art.
Watercolor will be broken down into two primary areas of study: l. the characheristics and performance of the materials themselves and 2. The structural development of the painting intself as a complete idea.This class is presented as a basic introduction to watecolor painting, but offers much to the student already familiar with the unique personality of this exciting medium.
