Eminent poet Kay Ryan (United States Poet Laureate 2008–10) will read from new and published work at Storm King Art Center on April 14, 2012. Following a fifty-minute reading of selected poems, Ms. Ryan will hold a question-and-answer session with the audience. The program will conclude with a book-signing, with volumes available for purchase. Winner of a Pulitzer Prize and MacArthur “Genius” Award (both in 2011), among numerous other honors and awards for her poetry, Ms. Ryan is one of the most influential poets of our time. The reading is organized by Storm King Art Center and sponsored by The Maurice English Poetry Award through Helen W. Drutt English. Free with Storm King admission: $12; $10 senior citizens (65 and older); $8 college students with valid ID and students in grades K–12; free children under five and Storm King members.
