Join landscape painter Leslie Watkins for a fascinating workshop as she demystifies the historic prismatic oil palette as used by Lyme Impressionist Frank Vincent DuMond. The prismatic palette is designed to facilitate painting en plein air, making it easier to select accurate color and tone choices. Using this palette speeds up the painting process, and allows the artist to deftly capture the moment in an ever-changing environment. Watkins will explain the philosophy behind the prismatic palette, as well as how to mix and use it to create atmospheric progressions within the painting to capture specific types and times of day. Dates: Saturday and Sunday, 9am – 4pm, May 19–20
