The Clinton Art Society (CAS) is pleased to announce the inaugural Plein Air by the Sea Competition and Sale on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the Water’s Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook, CT.

Talented artists from across Connecticut will paint outdoors as they capture the beauty of this lovely seaside setting. The day starts with artists painting on the resort grounds. The public is invited to stroll the resort grounds and watch artists bring the paintings to life from 8am – 2pm. In the afternoon, renowned artist Howard Park will judge the paintings for awards.

The day culminates with an art show and sale during a reception from 4:30pm – 6:30pm where visitors can view and purchase the freshly painted artwork and meet the artists. The reception is open to the public with hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.
