8 Week Painting Class taught by author/artist Patti Mollica www.mollicastudio.com I invite you to my studio for painting instruction on Saturday mornings, 10am – 1pm, March 3 through April 21. Small classes will ensure ample guidance and personal instruction. We will cover… seeing values translating values to color massing tones simplifying detail color harmony limited palette mixing brilliant colors mixing colorful greys economy of stroke composition brushwork edges…and much more The focus will be a colorful, bold approach to painting. I offer plenty of innovative, targeted exercises to help each artist progress towards their specific goals. Artists can work in oils, acrylics, pastel or watercolor, as the fundamentals apply to all media. The atmosphere is relaxed, supportive, respectful and inspiring. All experience levels are welcome. I will demo regularly. My painting… style leans towards a loose, painterly, interpretive approach, based on strong value clarification and a cohesive underlying abstract design. I encourage taking plenty of artistic license with color, as well as simplification of unnecessary detail.
