Jason Friedes and Hank Paper, Two Solo Shows June 23-July 24, 2011 Opening Reception: Sunday, June 26, 3-6pm; Artist Talk, 3:30pm Kehler Liddell Gallery is pleased to present two solo shows, Jason Friedes: Domi-cells and Hank Paper: Cuba: Arrested Splendor. Guest artist, Friedes will be showing steel sculpture and mixed media installations that respond to the metaphor of the various cages that we build around each other and ourselves. Street photographer Hank Paper’s work represents images taken over the past 10 years. Beaming through the seams of Cubaʼs majestic crumbling architecture and repressive socialist economy is an optimistic inner rhythm of the Cuban people.
