Hot Night in the City
Krikorian Gallery, Worcester Center for Crafts
Jul. 21, 2011, 05:00 pm
The Worcester Center for Crafts will be heating up this July with the return of Hot Night in the City, a block party style event to celebrate the traditions of craft with the community. Hot Night in the City promises to be a dynamic event featuring demonstrations and activities inspired by the heat of the summer, forge, torch, furnace, and kiln. The party starts at 5PM and is free and open the public. Over 15 talented artists will be on hand doing demonstrations in glass blowing, raku firing, blacksmithing, glass bead making, broom casting metal, and wood turning. Attendees will also be able to participate in the 2nd annual Hot Night Ceramic Project, witness the unveiling of last year’s ceramic mural, and enjoy the music of Dale LePage, Bobby Gaudouri and Thomas Spears, refreshments, and more!
