Ann H. Sievers, Art Gallery director and curator will give a gallery talk on the exhibition Italia Bella. The exhibition features views of Italy by European and American artists. It includes eighteenth-century prints of Roman ruins designed by Piranesi for travelers on the European Grand Tour, as well as nineteenth-century etchings of Venice by ex-patriot American James Abbott McNeill Whistler and a variety of twentieth-century views of noteworthy Italian sites. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will follow.
