Join us for an opening reception of Self-Image: A Traditional or Non-Traditional Self Portrait with a show of works by MAC’s Elected Artists on April 5 from 5:30 – 7pm at the Mystic Arts Center. The event will feature free mini-makeovers (5-minute manicures and Featherlock hair accessories) by TREEhugger Organic Salon and Spa in New London, CT. Self-Image: A Traditional or Non-Traditional Self Portrait allows for endless possibilities as both artists and viewers engage in the exploration of personal identity by delving into memory, consciousness, culture, gender and other influences through a variety of mediums. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the public. The exhibits run through May 19.
