1. On Friday, March 30, the Franklin Art Association will hold an opening reception and awards ceremony at The Artist’s Gallery at Patriot Place. The opening reception and awards ceremony is Friday, March 30th, from 5 – 9 PM. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited. 2. “We are very excited to have the opportunity to showcase our members’ artwork at this terrific new venue at Patriot Place” said Frank Robertson, association president. More than 100 pieces of art and photography by member artists will be featured. All works will be for sale and reasonably priced. 3. The Franklin Art Association is a non-profit organization and has been continuously providing art education programs in Franklin for over 40 years. Monthly meetings, art exhibits and painting workshops provide the opportunity for artists and photographers at every skill level to meet and learn from one another in a supportive environment. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at the Franklin Senior Center, which feature art demonstrations by established regional and national artists. 4. The association’s activities are supported in part by the Franklin Cultural Council, which is a local agency funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
