DIWALI: FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS Sunday, December 4, 2011 1:30 – 3:30pm In conjunction with FREE ARTS WEEKEND! Join us while we celebrate Diwali, the Indian ‘festival of lights!’ Learn how to make traditional Indian decorative folk art, your own diya clay pots, and the skill behind the ancient art form of Mehndi (Henna ink tattoos)! There will also be a classical Indian dance demonstration and a free workshop. Organized by artist and educator, Lavanya Misra.
