Creek Ranch Photo Adventure
Florida Museum of Photographic Arts
Dec. 15, 2012, 12:00 am
The photographic adventures at Creek Ranch are designed to provide a one-day immersive retreat for photo enthusiasts interested in taking their photographic skills to a new level. Designed with the amateur or new enthusiast in mind, the experience allows attendees to work in small groups shooting in a variety of Ranch environments with each instructor.
Adventure participants will master composition and natural lighting for wildlife and landscapes and also work with strobe lighting for location portraits of Florida cowboys and ranch hands. The Creek Ranch Photography Adventures are an escape, an opportunity to pull yourself away from the cares of the world and into a tranquil, inspiring place to hone the craft of image making.
Creek Ranch is a privately-owned working ranch on the shores of Lake Hatchineha in central Florida and provides a unique luxury vacation experience for families, groups and individuals. Creek Ranch protects pastures, forests and wetlands along Lake Hatchineha in the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes and headwaters of the Everglades. The ranch embodies natural and historic Florida and is a key parcel in protecting the northern the landscape.
It is surrounded by preserves owned by the Nature Conservancy, South Florida Water Management District and the first piece of the new Everglades Headwaters National Wildlife Refuge. Carlton Ward traversed this property with a team of conservationists during the Florida Wildlife Corridor Expedition earlier this year.
