Join us for a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cloisters Museum & Gardens

Bus departs and returns to Saint Joseph College Chapel parking lot

10:30 a.m. – The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Time on Your Own: to explore the museum and its exhibitions including:

Infinite Jest: Caricature and Satire from Leonardo to Levine, that explores caricature and satire in its many forms from the Italian Renaissance to the present, A Sensitivity to the Seasons: Summer and Autumn in Japanese Art, that shares screens and objects in the Arts of Japan galleries that reflect the keen attentiveness to seasonal change evident in Japanese art, and also in the Special Gallery, the Frans Hals collection, that presents the Dutch master’s portraits and genre scenes that were famous in his lifetime for their immediacy and dazzling brushwork.

Time for lunch on your own.

2:00 p.m. – Guided Tour of The Cloisters Museum & Gardens

Enjoy a one hour tour of the art and architecture of medieval Europe, followed by a stroll through The Cloisters’ famous medieval gardens.
