Join us on Saturday, May 18, 2019, for “A Conversation with Nena Ivon: 53 Years at Saks Fifth Avenue”. During this Artist Talk, Nena Ivon will present on her famous career in fashion and design over the years.
Nena Ivon’s Biography:
Retired Fashion/Special Events Director, Saks Fifth Avenue, 53 years. Produced 1000’s of fashion shows and special events worked with over 150 International fashion designers and fashion personalities. Currently producing a daily lifestyle blog https:/www.nenasnotes.com and a monthly Fashion Book Club. Published in the Chicago History Museum’s Costume Collection’s Catalog for the exhibition Chicago Styled: Fashioning the Magnificent Mile. Has been involved with the Costume Council since it’s inception, recently as President. Currently as Historian. All of Nena’s archives are housed in the Columbia College Archive Collections. A cash bar featuring a signature cocktail, beer, and wine will be available. This program does not include appetizers or dinner. Please make arrangements beforehand or after. We highly recommend supporting Gaetano’s Restaurant in downtown Batavia. Make a reservation with them in advance at (630) 406-3009.
Tickets are $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door.
Seating is limited to 70. Recommended purchasing in advance before the show sells out.
Exhibiting artists in the “Eye of the Beholder Garment Exhibition” are encouraged to attend, free of charge.
