Joe Adolphe and Rod Cook Artist Reception: Sunday, May 22, 3-6pm Artists have rendered the human figures and stoic beasts since the beginning of time, the first instances in chalk on cave walls. This show will highlight contemporary iterations of the figure, horses and bulls in paint and photography. Adolphe paints subjects from his experience in an expressive manner that sings and pulses with life. Cook’s larger than life hand painted photographs of exotic beauties will marry digital archaic coloring techniques with new technologies. Both artists embrace the traditional approach, and modify it to make it their own.
