Students learn to express their creativity using varied art methods and materials to create personal works of art. New themes will be explored each month with different projects weekly. Instructor Suzy Jorsey Balay: studied Illustration at Paier School of Art under Leonard Everett Fisher, Jean Zallinger, and Robert Zappalorti. Suzy returned to Paier Collage of Art recently to receive her BFA studying under the late Joe Funnaro, Nathan Lewis and John Falato. Suzy creates her work in a variety of media, including fibers and painting. The table in the NBMAA’s Art Lab for kids is an example of one of her many contributions to the Museum. Suzy has found that Fibers are by far the one media that brings her the most pleasure. She is a hand spinner, weaver, knitter, and sewer, all skills taught to Suzy by her mother and grandmother.
