May Exhibitions Opening reception: Friday, April 29 from 6-9 pm Exhibition dates: April 27-May 22, 2011 Gallery hours: Wed to Sat 12-6 pm, and Sun. 12-4 pm Nancy Fritz In her new works, “Beds and Beyond: Intimate Spaces,” Nancy Fritz reveals her fascination with the sense of spatial intimacy and mystery that one can find in the nooks and corners of everyday surroundings. As a narrative painter, Nancy is interested in creating ambiguous, enigmatic images. In her recent paintings, all featuring beds, she explores intimate spaces, while playing with odd perspectives and thin layering of pigments and glazes. Nancy embraces both the formal and the narrative challenges of seeing the ordinary in un-ordinary ways. Fiber Artists for Hope Curated by JEANETTE THOMPSON “The Unspoken Truth about Color: A Dialogue in Art Quilts about Racism” is a group exhibit, sponsored by YWCA Metropolitan Chicago.
