The Golden Thread Gallery

CALL FOR ENTRIES: How do YOU interpret WONDER?
ELIGIBILITY: All mediums accepted. All work must be original to the artist. Giclee’s are welcomed but must be clearly marked as such. Any work previously exhibited at GTG is ineligible for future exhibits.
SPECIFICATIONS: All two-dimensional work must be wired and ready to hang. Works must be securely and suitably framed with screw eyes and wires firmly attached to the frame. Wrapped canvases are accepted with edges neatly finished. Works on paper must be matted and have a protective covering of glass or Plexiglas. No clip frames. Sculpture is to be accompanied by a white base. Work will be eliminated if poorly prepared. All artwork must be labeled with name, contact information, title, medium, price, and how your work connects to the theme.
JURY: All entries will be juried from digital images by the co-founders of The Golden Thread Gallery, Kate H. Wilson and Tricia H. Wenz. We carefully consider the following 3 factors when judging each submitted piece of art:
Originality and technical excellence
Connection to the theme
Perspective on the theme
A list of accepted artists will be posted on our web site on April 29TH. (www.goldenthreadgallery.org)
FEES: Up to 3 pieces of work may be submitted for each exhibit; members of The Golden Thread Gallery will be free of charge and a $15 entry fee per piece for non-members.
DELIVERY OF ACCEPTED PIECES: Art that has been accepted for the WONDER exhibit should be dropped off at the gallery on either Sunday, May 4h or Monday, May 5th from 12:00-2:00pm. Work must remain in the gallery until the end of the exhibit.
SALES: A 40% commission is taken on all sales. (The Golden Thread Gallery receives 25% and Holy Family Retreat Center receives 15%). All works shown at The Golden Thread Gallery should be for sale, unless other wise stated.

Due to storage limitations, we will only accept digital files until the jury determines the accepted pieces for the exhibit.

▪ If you are submitting more than one piece of art, please fill out separate forms for each.

LIABILITY: The Golden Thread Gallery, a public art venue within the Holy Family Retreat Center, will take every possible care for the safety of your artwork. However, The Golden Thread Gallery and Holy Family Retreat Center are not responsible for any artwork that is lost, stolen, or damaged during the storage, or exhibiting of the artwork.
