The University of Iowa Museum of Art and Flyover invite artists to create works of wearable art to be featured during the 2018 Flyover Fest. Entries should be inspired by a work or works of art in the University of Iowa Museum of Art’s permanent collections (explore here: http://uimaportal.art.uiowa.edu/), and may be made from any medium. Priority will be given to artists who amplify the stories of underrepresented and marginalized groups in fashion, politics, and culture.
Selected artists will receive a $500 stipend to support cost of materials and labor and will be invited to premier their creations in a fashion show during the 2018 Flyover Fest.

Please submit preliminary visual representations (photographs of materials, sketches, digital renderings – anything communicable in JPG format!) of the wearable art you intend to create along with a brief (200-400 word) description of your proposal via this Google Form: https://goo.gl/forms/S5IwDl6aTjVRGQJN2
