Arts Collinwood Gallery invites members and non-members to submit artwork for a juried exhibition that celebrates the transformative process of urban renewal and reuse. Work will be accepted that best exemplifies the theme of Vacancy – No Vacancy.

First Prize: $1,000 Second Prize: $500 Third Prize: $250 Merit Prizes: $50 A minimum of 30 works of art will be chosen for the exhibit. A minimum of $2,000 in total cash prizes will be awarded. In addition the Waterloo Arts Gallery Committee will be selecting one to five artists to participate in solo or duo exhibitions at Waterloo Arts in the 2014 or 2015 gallery seasons.

Entries:
Each artist may submit up to three pieces from artists who reside anywhere in the United States or Canada. All work must have been executed within the last five years. Original work in all two-dimensional and three-dimensional media may be submitted. Time based or electronic media will NOT be accepted. No work may exceed 36 inches in any dimension or fifty pounds in weight.

Fees:
A non refundable fee of $15 for one piece; $24 for two pieces; or $30 for three pieces will be due upon application

Timeline:

February 22, 2014, 11:59:59 pm Eastern Time; Deadline for Entry
March 8, 2014 – Jurors notification sent
March 22- artwork due at Waterloo Arts
April 4 – exhibition opening
May 17- exhibition closes
