This 4 day workshop will be an exciting way for artists to experience the electrifying energy that Berlin offers. The workshop will be based around discovering various visual urban treasures and incorporating them into finished works of art through the juxtaposition of the elements via various media and techniques.

The facilitator for this program has been an artist living and working in Berlin for over 20 years and has drawn vast inspiration for his international exhibitions and projects from the streets of Berlin. Throughout this workshop he will guide the participants through many of Berlin’s most culturally energized neighborhoods known as Kiez to collect the imagery and materials that the artists will use in creating their works. During the non-instructional times the participants will be taken to some of the city’s most exciting art venues and off the beaten path landmarks.

The group will also attend the opening the the Berliner Liste art fair which is an integral part of Berlin Art Week. By the end of this workshops the artists will have experienced a sampling of the magical intrigue which has drawn many international artists to become Wahl-Berliners.

The fee for participation includes: Accommodations (5 nights w/breakfast), Workshop participation, Lunch during the workshop sessions, Entry to Berliner Liste opening reception, Entry to Hamburger Bahnhof Museum, 7-Day transportation pass for unlimited use of Berlin’s public transportation system.
