Truth Telling: Art in Search of Social Justice
Entry Deadline: Sep. 8
If we can’t see it, we can’t feel it. If we can’t feel it, we can’t know it. If we don’t know it nothing changes, and the suffering goes on. The visual arts have a unique opportunity to reveal the many injustices that prevent people and the planet from flourishing.
Artists in all media are invited to submit images that show or comment on the violation of human dignity or environmental integrity that moves them to anger or compassion.
Truth Telling: Art in Search of Social Justice, is a celebration of ten years of partnership between Nave Gallery and the Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church. The exhibition is an assertion that art is a vehicle through which conversations on social change can be held, compelling people to action.
